Stop opening a tab to start your notes.
Cueora Desktop launches at login and sits in your menu bar. It watches your synced calendars and, thirty seconds before a meeting starts, arms itself, captures system audio, and begins shaping notes. You just talk.
Install
- 1. Unzip and drag Cueora to Applications (macOS) or any folder (Windows).
- 2. Open it once and sign in. It turns on “launch at login” for you.
- 3. On macOS, grant Screen & System Audio Recording when prompted (System Settings → Privacy & Security). That permission is what lets Cueora hear the meeting without a bot.
- 4. Close the window — it keeps running in the menu bar / tray. Capture starts on its own at meeting time.
macOS says “Cueora.app is damaged and can’t be opened”?
That message is Gatekeeper quarantining an unsigned download — the app is fine. Move it to Applications, then run this once in Terminal and open it again:
xattr -cr /Applications/Cueora.app
On Windows, SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC” — choose More info → Run anyway. The current downloads are unsigned; notarized / signed builds are produced when Apple and Windows signing certificates are configured in the build pipeline.
Signed builds
The desktop pipeline in electron/build.mjs supports full macOS notarization and Windows code signing. Set these secrets before running npm run desktop:build:
- macOS: APPLE_TEAM_ID, APPLE_ID, APPLE_APP_SPECIFIC_PASSWORD
- Windows: WINDOWS_CERTIFICATE_FILE, WINDOWS_CERTIFICATE_PASSWORD
Run npm run desktop:build-unsigned to skip signing entirely.
